Vesselin Danev
CEO Agromanage
Vesselin was appointed CEO in October 2009. He started his career in 1992 with the law firm of Covington & Burling in Washington, DC, where he concentrated on M&A and Federal Securities Law. Between 1994 and 1995 he was the Director in charge of FX Trading and Treasury with TS Bank in Sofia. After an engagement in the Financial Institutions Group at Moody’s, Vesselin joined Morgan Stanley in 1997 where he retired in 2006 as Executive Director in charge of the Russian and Eastern European ultra-high net worth business. He remained an Advisory Director to Morgan Stanley until December 2008. Vesselin co-founded and is currently a director of Sigma Capital, a developer and investor in a hotel portfolio in Bulgaria with almost 3,000 rooms. He is also a director of Sol Melia (Bulgaria) AD, a hotel management business. Vesselin holds a Diploma in Law from the University of Sofia (1991), LL.M. from the Yale Law School (1992), and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (1997). Vesselin was admitted to the New York Bar in 1992.
Svetoslav Bachev
Elarg Agro
Svetoslav is a Procurist of ELARG Agro. He joined the team in March 2010 and is responsible for all farming operations. Svetoslav has 9 years of working experience in the field of agriculture and agribusiness. In his previous career he was Head of Agricultural Department in Winslow Group JSC, Bulgaria; Agricultural Consultant in Glades Crop Care, Inc., the USA; Assistant in the Plant Science Department of Technical University Munich, Germany and has spent two internship programs in UK farms. He holds a Master degree in Sustainable Resource Management from TUM, Germany and Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural University Plovdiv, Bulgaria and Certificate from the Department of Agricultural Economics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
Nelly Naseva
Head of Legal Dept.
Nelly is the Head of our Legal department. She advises us internally and coordinates outside counsel; prepares and reviews various legal instruments and documents. Nelly has specialized in the fields of Property law, Commercial law, Civil law and Labor law. Previously, she worked as Head of the legal department at ISA Ltd – a real estate development and construction management company with significant projects in the field of infrastructure, civil engineering and design. Nelly has attended various training programs, among which is a course on “Project and Contract Management”, held by the European Construction Ventures Ltd, UK. She has Certificate for Legal English Proficiency by the International Development Law Organization. Nelly holds an Executive MBA degree from the American University in Bulgaria (2008). She also has a Master of Laws diploma from the University of Sofia (2004).
Ivan Petkov
Head of Rents and Leases
Ivan is the Head of Rents and Leases. He joined our team in June 2009 and is responsible for managing and supervising the process of the land lease and rental activities. Previously, between 2008 and 2009 he worked as a senior expert at Winslow Agro Fund. Ivan Petkov started his career in 2006 as a senior expert of Monitoring Department of Transcard AD. Ivan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agrarian Economics (2007) and MSc in Agrarian Business (2008) from the University of National and World Economy.
Antoaneta Simeonova
Senior Expert of Rents and Leases
Antoaneta joined our team in May 2009 as a senior expert in Rents and Leases department. She is responsible for relationship with key accounts of the company. Between 2007 and 2009 she worked at MBI Bulgaria Ltd. as a accountant. Previously, in the period between 2007 and 2008 she worked as a assistant with Zarnobaza Shabla. Antoaneta holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the Technical University Varna (2006) and MSc in Management of business from the Academy of Economics Svishtov (2008).
Atanas Damianov
Senior Expert of Rents and Leases
Atanas joined us in October 2009 as a senior expert in Rents and Leases department. He is responsible for contracting of the land leases by regions. Previously, between 2008 and 2009 Atanas worked at Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria EAD as a specialist of small and middle enterprises lending. In the period between 2007 and 2008 he worked as a assets management coordinator at Agrofinance REIT. Atanas started his career in 2002 with Sofia Land Ltd. as assistant manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (2006) and MSc in Financial Accounting (2009) from the University of National and World Economy.
Tsanko Tsankov
Financial Analyst
Tsanko is a financial analyst. Most recently he was at Sigma Capital. Tsanko performed financial analysis and modelling and liaised with banks on the arrangement and maintenance of credit facilities of circa EUR 90 million. He was also in charge of the insurance coverage of Sigma’s property portfolio in excess of EUR 150 million. Previously, between 2002 and 2005. Tsanko worked with STARX Ltd. as a project manager of a consultancy team for development and implementation of quality management systems and processes optimization models. Between 2000 and 2002 he was a junior financial expert in the Inspectorate of the State Agency of Standardization and Metrology. Between 1997 and 2000 he worked as a specialist in Economic Department of Gabrovo Municipality. Tsanko holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Technical University Gabrovo (2000).
Maria Iotova
Office Manager and Acting Director of Investor Relations
Maria joined us in August 2009 as Office manager since May 2010 she is also Acting Director of Investor Relations. Previously, Maria has also 1-year experience with Deloitte Bulgaria (2007), and 2 years with Adamant Capital AD as Office Manager (2008-2009). Between 2005 and 2007 Maria worked as an expert in Defence of Activity and Communication Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Between 2001 and 2005 she worked as Personal Assistant to the Executive Director of Petrol AD. Maria started her career in 1997 with the international company Walton Associates as Office Assistant and Office Manager (1998-2001). Maria holds a Diploma in Bulgarian and English Philology from University of Plovdiv (1997).
